Get to Know the Franchisee: Mobiledumps Brooklyn, NY

Can you share a bit about your background?

Currently, I own an Amazon DSP (Satriano Logistics LLC) that delivers to New York City.  This operation runs on average of 45 routes daily (90 routes during Peak) with a daily average of 12,000 packages (20,000 packages during Peak).  I have been able to scale the business from 5 routes (10/21) to our current numbers in under 3 years.  This was attributed to putting in proper processes and mechanisms to focus on safety, quality, employee retention, and a positive culture.

I also own a transportation company (Satriano Transportation LLC).  This operation currently has 2 box trucks that run routes in the New England area 6 days a week on a B2B basis as well as junk removal.  With this operation, I applied my knowledge of DOT compliance and standard operation procedures that I use with my Amazon DSP.

Prior to my Last Mile Delivery experiences, I worked for 15 years in the Internet Marketing and Analytics for companies Talkwalker, Conversant, Kontera Technologies, Innovation Ads, and etc.  I held Customer Success Director – NA, Director of Account Management positions, which I was responsible for various team members’ growth. With these experiences, I have taken an analytical approach to my business decisions as well as apply my knowledge of emerging technologies.

What inspired you to start your own business, and how does Mobiledumps fit into that vision?

I was inspired to start my own business during COVID as I wanted to take control of my own destiny on a larger scale (Amazon DSP).  With this success, I wanted to expand to other ventures that I could utilize my experience and knowledge.

Mobiledumps was an opportunity that I feel is perfect for what I was looking to do.  I feel I could utilize all my knowledge I have acquired over their years as well as have an opportunity to scale the business due to the population of the NYC Metro area.  I also feel that Mobiledumps will allow me to give my current team further advancement in their careers.

What stood out about Mobile dumps that made you want to become a franchise owner?

Mobiledumps’ unique trailers allow for dumpster rentals in New York in tight spaces, which I feel is a huge advantage over the competition.  With the population density of New York City Metro and the potential customer base is a huge advantage.

Also with Mobiledumps being a national brand, this gives me the branding that I need to approach new customers.  Mobiledumps also brings a wealth of industry knowledge as well as marketing knowledge specific to the industry which I feel will allow me scale.

With Mobiledumps’ new approach to an industry on the trailer types, marketing, and etc, I am bullish on Mobiledumps and I feel it is just the beginning before it takes off.

With all these advantages, I felt Mobiledumps was a great fit for me to scale a business in a competitive market.

Looking ahead, what are your long-term goals for Mobiledumps, and how do you see Mobiledumps Brooklyn growing in the next five years?

My long term goals for Mobiledumps would be to expand to the entire NYC metro area and Long Island.  I feel the opportunity is there as the population is getting more tech savvy and want an alternative option to the standard dumpster rentals.

As for Mobiledumps Brooklyn in 5 years, I would like to expand further in the borough and have different yards to make the logistics easier.  With this improved logistics approach, I feel customer service will be improved due to shorter travel times and have a more personal/local approach,

How does Mobiledumps’ focus on customer service align with your personal values and professional goals?

Customer Service is a core value I have in all my positions I have had in my career.

I personally feel customers expect a high level of service and when customer service is top notch they will be repeat customers.   When a customer sees the personalized approach to their needs, they become a customer for life with you as well as spread the word of your business.  With this scenario, Mobiledumps will always be the main company that is thought of when there is a need for a dumpster rental.   This is a great business practice as it helps with our growth but it also helps the brand as it is a large company nationally but it is a small local business.

As a Mobiledumps franchise owner, what are your goals and aspirations?

My goal as a franchise owner is to solidify my current area then expand.  I want Mobiledumps to be the #1 option in New York when a Residential or Commercial customer is in need of a dumpster.
